The most common questions new entrepreneurs ask

কিভাবে ব্যবসা শুরু করব? / How do I start a business in Bangladesh?

The first step is clarity — not registration, not money. Answer these three questions first: What are you selling? Who is buying it? How will you reach them? Once these are clear, the practical steps (registration, bank account, trade license) follow naturally. Most people get stuck because they skip this step and go straight to paperwork.

ব্যবসা শুরু করতে কত টাকা লাগে? / How much money do I need to start a business?

It depends entirely on the type of business. A service business (consulting, teaching, repair, transport) can start with almost nothing — your skills are the product. A product business needs inventory. Government registration costs BDT 10,000 to 20,000 minimum. Many successful businesses in Bangladesh started with BDT 10,000 or less.

What are the most common mistakes new businesses make in Bangladesh?

The three most common: registering before testing the idea (waste of money if the idea does not work), not keeping financial records from day one (causes serious problems at tax time), and mixing personal and business money (makes it impossible to know if the business is actually profitable).

আমার কি company register করতে হবে? / Do I need to register my company first?

Not at the very start. You can test your idea and make your first sales before registering. Registration becomes necessary when you need to open a business bank account, sign contracts, or your turnover reaches a level that requires formal compliance. A sole proprietorship with a trade license is sufficient for many small businesses.

A note on this service

This is not coaching, mentoring, or consulting in any formal sense. It is a conversation with someone who has been involved in business since 1998 and has seen what works and what does not. The goal is to give you clarity on your next specific step — nothing more and nothing less.
